At Renee Weisman Designs, we strive to de-mystify good design! We will work closely with you through all phases of the process to produce your dream kitchen. We know from experience that exceptional design demands a respectful, open, and collegial relationship between designer and client — you will always know that your input is valued with us. Generally speaking, the steps of a typical kitchen design project with our firm include:

Consultation.

The first step in the design process is perhaps the most important — the initial consultation. We will listen closely and carefully to your needs and discuss your wishlist for your new kitchen space. Initial consultation will also include discussion of budget, timetables, specific site conditions and architectural limitations or opportunities within the space. We will answer any questions you may have about the design process — whether this is your first major renovation or you have more than a few under your belt, we’ll be with you every step of the way to make sure the experience is enjoyable!

Measure.

Once you’re ready to start the project, we will carefully measure your existing space and document site conditions, which will allow us to provide a range of possible design solutions for your new kitchen.

Design.

This is the exciting part! We will take your kitchen measurements, integrate everything that we have learned about your preferences during our consultation, and generate a unique design concept which will capture all of your wants and needs (maybe even those that you didn’t know you had)! The design phase is when we generate the initial proposed floor plans and schematic drawings of your kitchen which will serve as the template for our design collaboration moving forward.

Documentation.

Once we have a final design approved we will carefully review our architectural plans, renderings, and visualizations with you to ensure that you love your new design as much as we do. We will also discuss colors, finishes, hardware, accessories, and the other small details that make a kitchen feel uniquely yours.
